We are looking for a **Payroll and Cashier Executive** to join the Mondrian team.

The Payroll and Cashier Executive is responsible for the administration of the Resort’s payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing, payroll reporting, and assisting managers in minimizing payroll costs through effective rostering. Additionally, this role involves collecting, verifying, and banking the Resort’s cash takings on a daily basis while maintaining stringent cash controls across all operations. The main duties of this role include:
**Payroll**
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Ready Workforce Payroll System, its configuration, functions, reports and back up requirements
- Ensure Integrity of data within Ready Workforce
- Maintain up to date knowledge of changes and new requirements for the set up and use of Ready Workforce through communication with ReadyTech/QHA newsletters, ATO and other websites
- Maintain penalties, wage rates (rate sets in the NPS system) in accordance with the relevant awards agreement
- Ensure all new team members are set up correctly and tax requirements are flagged in Ready Workforce in line with employee tax instalment declaration
- Process fortnightly payroll process in full and complete the payroll checklist
- Prepare all termination pays are correctly processed and defined in accordance with ATO guidelines
- Deal with employee queries and prepare any manual payments that may be required

**Financial**
- Prepare wages journal fortnightly following Payroll run
- Prepare weekly payroll reports
- Assist ADOF and DOF to prepare weekly Payroll Meeting reports
- Prepare regular payroll reports to Managers

**Month End Requirements**
- Prepare End of Month Reports
- Complete Payroll Tax calculation for month end payment
- Generate paperwork for superannuation and upload superannuation file to the HostPlus clearing house portal
- Assist Senior Management with other payroll reporting as requested

**General Cashier**
- To prepare General Cashier Report daily with reference from the reports generated from the cash recycling machine and reconciling the daily collection of cash
- Responsible to withdraw and handover the cash sales in cash recycling machines to the appointed third-party vendor for deposit into the designated bank
- Over and Under Summary to be prepared every end of month and submitted to the Assistant Director of Finance

**Qualifications** Experience and Skills**
- Proven experience in payroll administration, including processing payroll, handling deductions, bonuses, and overtime, ideally in a hospitality setting.
- Understanding of Hospitality Industry General Award and Hair & Beauty Award.
- Experience with payroll system such as Ready Workforce/Zambion is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, most especially Microsoft Excel, and payroll/cashier software for generating reports, tracking transactions, and maintaining financial records.
- Experience in cashiering, including cash handling, reconciling cash registers, processing various payment types (cash, credit/debit), and managing daily cash banking.
- Previous exposure to financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and documentation of both payroll and cashier functions
