**The Company**
We’ve partnered with a boutique, client focussed insurance broking house on the Gold Coast that specialises in providing out-of-the-box insurance solutions to an enviable client base consisting of corporate, midmarket and complex SME clients.
Established over 10 years ago, our client is one of QLD’s most prestigious brands, known in part for its high service delivery, but most notably for its employee-centric approach to business with tremendous staff retention and progression metrics.
This newly created position has been driven by the business's organic growth within the region, and as the business goes from strength to strength, believes this pivotal role will be a leadership position in the years to come.
**The Role**
In this role, you will get to develop your skills and build a solid reputation as a highly regarded Account Executive whilst learning from the best As a valued team member, you’ll learn and work with the MD, GM and senior brokers on a high-quality clientele.
You’ll be supporting the GM with an established portfolio and assisting with the management of renewals and new business placements.
Whilst you will be based in the Gold Coast office, you will also travel to Cairns once a month for client meetings, and face time with GM. As the role develops, you will build and generate your own portfolio and build a team around you.
- Assist the GM with a portfolio of corporate and midmarket commercial insurance
- Processing new business, renewals, and policy preparation and maintenance including amendments and endorsements
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to identify, manage and execute new client acquisition opportunities
- Working with clients to identify insurable risks and formulate loss mitigation strategies to optimise commercial insurance coverage
- Grow the existing portfolio organically through quality service delivery and referral network
- Cultivate key relationships with Insurers
**About You**
- Tier I qualified or near completion
- 1-3 years experience working within General Insurance industry ideally, as an Assistant Broker or Account Executive
- Commercial lines and/or financial lines experience
- An innate desire to act with integrity and passion in new business development
- Confident communication skills both written and verbal
- Be a team player who can join in the banter
