West End, Australia Queensland Ballet Full time

**Description**:
POSITION PURPOSE

The Head of Partnerships plays a central role in achieving Queensland Ballet’s (QB) vision to enrich lives through ballet, ‘share our ‘stage’ with like-minded partners, and our strategic plan’s aim to leave a long-lasting legacy for QB. QB’s Partners are key stakeholders, and we strive to facilitate authentic alignment to ensure sound outcomes and positive relationships. Partnerships comprise both cash and in-kind contractual arrangements, steeped in meaningful outcomes for both QB and our partners (corporate, corporate foundations, government, not-for-profits) alike. It takes two.

The Head of Partnerships plays a central role in leading the Partnerships team ensuring that our partnerships and relationships are ethical, socially responsible and values-based, strategically aligned and delivered with professionalism and integrity. Crucially, QB places great emphasis on nurturing respectful, individual relationships within our Partner organisations at all levels, ranging from decision-makers to third-party consultants.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Audience Development, the Head of Partnerships will be able to identify, negotiate, secure and manage multiple relationships and initiatives ranging from $10k to multi-millions, delivered according to existing and enabling targets. Existing targets are defined as cash and contra targets within our operating budget required to deliver QB’s vision. Enabling targets are defined as forward-looking opportunities to strength and grow impact delivered by QB’s four pillars: Artistic, Academy, Community and Cultural Spaces.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL EMBODY:

- an altruistic nature
- a passion for ballet and the arts and an associated curiosity to identify potential opportunities, take risks and develop new partnership assets
- assist in the delivery of ambitious cash and in-kind targets
- a genuine interest in developing sustainable relationships with all stakeholders
- a commercial outlook including commercial environmental awareness of trends
- an understanding of marketing and communications essentials
- an ability to build and sustain successful professional working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- a sophisticated attitude to project management in the unique QB environment
- management skills to inspire and motivate others
- an understanding of the way in which dance/the arts can impact positively on and support community physical, social and creative wellness.

The position requires some inter
- and intra-state travel.
