About us
The Victim Services Support and Reform (VSSR) branch is part of Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination Group within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). VSSR is responsible for coordinating a suite of services for victims of crime that provide information and support to help manage the effects of crime and guide victims through the criminal justice system across Victoria. VSSR also leads the Victorian Governments participation in the National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse (National Redress Scheme).
About the role
Multiple roles are available
As the Project Officer - National Redress Scheme, VSSR, you will:
- provide project management capability to assist in whole of Victorian government coordination of the National Redress Scheme
- provide secretariat services for committees and working groups
- prepare advice and analysis on matters to influence decisions of relevant governance bodies, including interdepartmental and interjurisdictional committees and working groups
- prepare progress reports, Ministerial and executive briefings and correspondence
- maintain positive relationships and provide support to staff working on the Redress Scheme across Victorian government departments and agencies, including the provision of operational guidance.
- monitor operational issues impacting the National Redress Scheme and contribute to business improvements.
This is a fixed term (until 30 June 2026), full time role, based at 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne and working from home.
About you
- proven analytical skills with a strong focus on attention to detail
- demonstrated organisational and project management skills
- demonstrated capability to provide secretariat support
- good working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft excel
- enthusiasm about joining a high performing team and have the desire to contribute to the design of cutting-edge business processes.
A relevant tertiary qualification would also be highly regarded.
