Reporting to the Senior Manager - Audit, Risk & Process Improvement, your responsibilities will include:

- Continuous monitoring of the business to identify risks
- Maintenance of risk register and development of rolling internal audit plan, including risk, audit, process improvement and investigative projects
- Autonomous end-to-end execution of audits, risk, process improvement and/or investigative projects as per the rolling internal audit plan, so as to continuously improve the business.
- Trusted advisor to, and liaison with, the business.
- Managing external auditors and other external bodies as required.
- Ensuring the audit function’s compliance with the IPPF’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

- Big 4 or similar experience preferred (ideally from within Australia).
- Relevant degree qualified.
- CA/CPA/CIA/CFE/CISA preferred (ideally from within Australia). Working towards qualification will be considered.
- Minimum 8 years senior internal audit experience from within Australia, ideally in-house within a large corporate environment.
- Immaculate written and in-person communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and build relationships.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability; treat everyone as a Customer.
- Confident, capable, self-sufficient and career driven.
- Strategic thinker, able to think laterally to deliver effective solutions/recommendations.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent documentation standards.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, with excellent project management skills.
- Naturally inquisitive, and continuously strive towards quality.
- Experience in the construction industry would be advantageous.

**This role requires a national police check to be undertaken.
