Our Risk function is made up of a strong team of professionals who protect Latitude by ensuring operational and compliance risks are well managed and enable the business to grow by making appropriate risk-informed decisions.

Let’s talk about the Opportunity
As a Risk & Compliance Specialist within our team, you will use and develop your knowledge of key operational processes to understand and mitigate business risks and ensure effective controls are operating to strengthen risk positions. This will ensure we meet our regulatory obligations and strategic business outcomes.
- Work closely with our Operations and Technology teams to support and improve their risk position.
- Verify, oversee, and support incident management, including driving effective remedial action plans.
- Partner with key process owners, to ensure business risks are identified and managed and where risk has materialised (risk events/incidents) are captured and remediated appropriately.
- In conjunction with business partners, design effective and efficient control portfolio’s ensuring operational effectiveness where control gaps or improvement opportunities are identified.
- Monitor and analyse data and available metrics to understand risk trends and areas requiring attention.
- Educate the business unit on the effective design and delivery of controls aligned to risk appetite, internal policies, standards, and responsibilities.
- Lead the improvement of key risk indicators, appetite and risk tolerance settings across business unit risk categories and remedial actions where required.

About you

- Solid operational and risk assurance background with a clear understanding of risk management, assurance and compliance standards will support your experience in a banking or financial services environment.
- A sharp and analytical mind with a passion for solving complex issues and ability to dive into root cause analysis.
- Inquisitive nature with a desire to understand different issues, perspectives, and to get the complete picture.
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to influence and articulate complex risk scenarios and drive required outcomes.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing and changing priorities

Any work operational experience within the financial services sector is advantageous but our key focus is finding the finest individual to contribute to our diverse culture.
