**Public Sector People (PSP) **are currently looking to speak to a
**Digital Communications Officer **who would be interested in an initial 3-month contract.

- _Experience with implementations and migrations to O365 is highly desirable_

This role will be responsible for keeping the Council’s core digital assets including corporate websites and social media channels up to date and compliant with accessibility and usability requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the continued growth of the organisations social and digital communications including e-newsletters, video content, apps, and other social media tools.
- Keep up to date with current and emerging trends in relations to digital user experience.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the corporate website and intranet including website architecture, content, and design elements to improve overall functionality, usability, accessibility, and user experience.
- Proactively update and maintain social media channels including responding to queries and comments, sourcing media rich content, and creating competitions, promotions, and online events.
- Monitor, evaluate and produce reports as required on the management and performance of social media and digital communications.

The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:

- Understanding of User Experience and Customer Experience.
- Working technical knowledge of programs such as Drupal, WordPress, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Sprout, Canva and Mailchimp.
- Experience in website development and CMS.
- Highly developed writing and editorial skills and excellent understanding of writing for digital.
- Demonstrated ability in building social media campaigns.
- Great adaptable team player with excellent communication skills.
