3-month opportunity for a Digital Communications Officer with an independent Gov Regulator in Melbourne.

**Your new company**
This independent regulator is looking for a Digital Communications Officer to join their team based in the Melbourne CBD. This organisation is dedicated to promoting fair public access to information, as well as privacy and information security.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will:

- Drive communications across digital channels, including social media scheduling through Sprout Social, and writing and publishing website content utilising WordPress
- Be the voice of the brand and responsible for all external communications, including a monthly newsletter produced through MailChimp and the department's annual report
- Responsible for all media engagement, including writing media releases

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

- Experience in a similar communications role
- Prior knowledge of digital communications, including social media scheduling and publishing website content
- Strong written communication skills, adept at translating complex, technical jargon to simple English
- You will need to provide proof of vaccination and be an Australian citizen
- Willing to obtain a national police check
