**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a Heritage Consultant with a strong client focus, a passion for heritage and the built environment, and excellent communication skills to join our Sydney practice as part of the wider national heritage team. We are looking for someone with a passion for heritage and who is wanting to develop their career. Ideally you will have a good understanding of heritage and statutory planning and can assist the team with providing practical advice on a range of heritage services.
The role will be supported by highly experienced Directors and a market-leading heritage team. Recent key projects undertaken by the heritage team include works to the Intercontinental Hotel, the Lands and Education Buildings, AMP Quay Quarter, Sydney Opera House, Victoria Barracks, Millers Point properties and the Butterfly Room at the State Theatre.

**You Will**:
As a Heritage Consultant you will demonstrate an understanding of built heritage principles and be able to undertake a range of tasks both independently and as directed as a key part of the heritage team.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Undertaking effective property, architectural and historical research.
- Preparing and contributing to practical heritage advice on a range of project types including heritage studies, conservation management plans, heritage impact statements, interpretation, archival recordings, architectural conservation supervision and expert witness representation.
- Working alongside a range of professions on multi-disciplinary projects, working to deadlines, within budget and supporting client and commercial outcomes.
- Promoting the firm and its services to create business opportunities.

About You.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- An ability to research, solve problems and think laterally.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- An ability to undertake heritage research utilising multiple sources and methodologies and to present a preliminary assessment of findings.
