**About this Opportunity**:
Supporting the day-to-day People and Culture and HR transactional functions through providing timely advice and administrative support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Champion organisational culture and values by ensuring all decisions are aligned with company values and core beliefs
- Developing a diverse, emotionally intelligent and inclusive culture
- Provide advice and interpretation of Awards, Agreements and SHQ HR Policy and Procedure
- Develop, implement and review policies and procedures to ensure they meet the organisational needs
- End-to-end recruitment and selection process, partnering with Managers and Executives
- Assist with projects and initiatives as required
- Provide wellbeing support and advice to all SHQ staff
- Induction and orientation of new employees/volunteers
- Accurate maintenance of all HR related documents including contracts, job descriptions and performance management records

**Skills and Experience**:

- Ability to provide timely and accurate HR advice to a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated recruitment experience along with knowledge relating to legislations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, managers and staff
- Knowledge in developing contemporary HR and IR policies and practices
- Strong working experience of current Federal workplace relations, IR and WHS laws
- Ability to implement HR policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with highly developed coaching, negotiation and interpersonal skills to assist in building strong working relationships
- Strong understanding of employee mental health and wellbeing
- Exceptional time management and ability to work under pressure and prioritise accordingly
- Superior level of integrity, confidentiality and proven record of ethical behaviour
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite and experience with HR systems and processes

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in HR generalist position
- Not-for-profit experience preferred or an appreciation and understanding of community-based organisations
