About the Role
- Liaise with clients (referring physicians) requesting medical imaging procedures about patient flow through the imaging area.
- Liaise with radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, registrars and radiologists performing and reporting on medical imaging examinations and with administration and nursing staff.
- Liaise with nursing staff and operational staff on transport arrangements.
- Escort patients to and from examination rooms and organise non-invasive imaging equipment set ups for patient examinations.
- Assist staff with patient transfers to exam couch.
- Demonstrates working knowledge or ability to learn all relevant Hospital Information Systems (eg CARPS, ieMR, Powerchart) and Radiology specific systems (CERNER RadNet, IMPAX).
- Enter data into RIS modules including scheduling and tracking of patients and registering urgent patients.
