Purchasing Manager for Well Respected WA Organisation

Are you an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for sourcing quality products and services at the best prices? If so, we want to hear from you.

This highly regarded Western Australian company is a leader in their sector and is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of their purchasing activities, from researching and selecting suppliers, to negotiating contracts, to managing inventory and budgets. You will work closely with other areas of the business, including warehousing and procurement teams, to ensure that their purchasing strategies align with our business goals and customer needs.

**Duties**:

- Lead and mentor a small team of Purchasing Officers
- Providing successful and efficient purchasing operations to support corporate needs, locating vendors, negotiating pricing, creating buy orders and requisitions, generating purchase orders
- Analysis of the market to determine price patterns and availability of future resources
- Play a major part in the implementation of the new ERP system (SAP 4 Hana)
- Responsible for vendor onboarding processes
- Fleet administration for staff vehicles.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- At least 6 years of experience as a Purchasing Manager or a similar role
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings and quality improvements through effective purchasing
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software (SAP and Ariba ideally)
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to purchasing
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
