**About the role**
In this role, you will engage with young people across the Geelong region (aged between 12-25) bringing them together to participate in programs designed to provide them with a single point of contact to connect with the people, programs and services they require. You will lead the development and delivery of Youth Events in collaboration with young people, plan and deliver all aspects of youth HUBS in identified locations, facilitating a variety of programs, activities and events that connect young people to local HUBS.

This is a permanent full-time position.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the development and delivery of youth events in collaboration with young people, including some afterhours work. Engage young people in the planning and implementation of the youth events.
- Maintain the Youth Development Unit social media platforms and Geelong Youth Website
- Assist in the design and facilitation of programs that provide all young people with a single point of contact to connect with the people, programs and services they require.
- Design and develop activities and engagement programs that focus on Health and Social equity, incorporating Youth Social Inclusion Groups across all Youth HUBS and community Drop Ins.
- In collaboration with young people, develop and deliver activities and programs that connect young people to HUBS.

**About you**

Essential Experience:

- Experience in the area of youth development and significant experience in youth engagement, planning, development and implementation of community development and/or youth programs.
- Knowledge of the youth work sector and the ability to establish relationships with key stakeholders and networks
- Experience in developing and delivering events, inclusive of diverse cohorts of young people
- Experience with digital platforms, including social media
- Extensive experience in facilitating and working with groups of young people using a youth participatory framework.
- An understanding of research principles and methodologies particularly in the youth and community development areas.
- Tertiary qualifications in the Social Work, Youth Work and/or a relevant field
