**About the role**
In this role, you will work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders to deliver a range of evidence based and youth informed programs that help to address the needs of young people and the community. Liaising with schools, youth organisations, government and departments you will work to enrich the lives of the young people in our community through the services and programs we deliver.
**Work type: Temporary Full Time (12 months)**
**Classification: Band 6 $90,263 - $97,365 (pa plus super)**
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitate the delivery of programs, trainings and initiatives that help to create supportive communities and wellbeing programs for young people and/or key stakeholders, including but not limited to: Teen & Youth Mental Health First Aid, LoveBites& the CelebrateYouProject.
- Effectively engage stakeholders and young people in the design of key initiatives that strengthen networks and opportunities that better equip the City in responding to the needs of young people.
- Research, analyse, prepare and present comprehensive written materials including solutions focused reports, briefings and presentations on youth issues and YDU projects/activities for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the development of the Schools and Community Youth Network newsletter and distribute twice per school term.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have experience delivering high-quality programs and initiatives that focus on the needs of young people and the broader community. You will have experience in using community development principals to plan, implement and evaluate youth development programs that respond to community needs and youth priorities.
- Significant experience in planning, implementing/facilitating and evaluating youth development programs.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships with people from all backgrounds, with understanding of culturally sensitive and informed practice with youth communities.
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, Youth Work, Education, Health Promotion or a related field, or, extensive related experience.
- Working with Children Check
- Current training and registrations to deliver LoveBites or Teen and Youth Mental Health highly desirable.
