Tennis Development Officer

The Tennis Development Officer will contribute to the National vision to create a playful world through tennis and Tennis Victoria’s purpose of creating safe and inclusive thriving Victorian tennis communities, enabling more people to play more often.
The key responsibility of the Tennis Development Officer is to deliver the Thriving Tennis Communities (TTC) framework in the region and build the capability of our stakeholders and affiliates to deliver outstanding tennis experiences for all in the region.
Central to the role will also be improving the quality and consistency of program delivery and building safe, inclusive, and welcoming club cultures. A strong understanding of what optimal relationships between schools, clubs and coaches/operators looks like will be required for this position and the role digital systems play in connecting participants to tennis.

- , in this role you will:_
- Support the delivery of the Thriving Tennis Communities (TTC) framework in the region.
- Drive strong safeguarding and inclusive practices to support clubs in creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments.
- Support venues to provide quality programming and opportunities to increase participation.
- Support the ongoing use of digital systems to provide a high-quality digital presence and consumer experience.
- Support local club volunteers and administrators by providing access to marketing, education and resources.
About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to drive stakeholder cooperation across a wide range of organisations.
- An understanding of the tennis environment and the stakeholders it engages.
- High computer literacy with Microsoft suite, database management and confidence in adopting diverse digital platforms.
- Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field (highly regarded).
- A current driver’s licence and first aid certificate
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
