**About the Role**:
This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your understanding rail and shipping operations within the BHP coal supply chain. The role reports to the Superintendent Logistics Coordination within the IROC+ (Integrated Remote Operations Centre) Logistics Team. This world-class control centre coordinates the near-term scheduling, planning and controlling of our east coast mining operations from a central location delivering performance improvements across our coal value chain. It’s an exciting time to be part of the team as we work to integrate new and emerging technologies to drive the next phase of supply chain performance.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the Week 0 Shipping Plan engaging with internal and external stakeholders to conduct the deviation management for berth schedules, rail schedules and variations in quality through the supply chain.

In this full-time permanent position, you will be based at our Brisbane corporate office and initially working M-F however role will transfer to 8 days’ work and 6 days off roster.

Accountabilities will include:

- Co-ordinates and maintains the Week 0 Shipping Plan with a focus on delivering volume and product quality through owned and third party ports.
- Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and manage variation in product shortfalls, product quality and supply chain capacity constraints.
- Assists in the management of rail and port service providers to ensure alignment with contractual requirements, capacity forecasts, and the coal supply chain plan.
- Engage with marketing and external stakeholders to ensure shipping processes are met.
- Identify improvement opportunities across the supply chain.

**About You**:

- You will be someone who is excited about working in a complex supply chain
- Prior logistics experience with bulk commodities including rail and shipping operations and an understanding of the Central Queensland Coal Network will be advantageous
- Demonstrated relevant experience within coal logistic supply chain is highly valued
- Experience working with SAP and supply chain planning tools will be deemed advantageous
- Good knowledge with relevant documentation, include Bills of Landing and shipping documents
