Medical Receptionist - Full Time Position
For Immediate start
- Full Time - Monday through Friday
- 8:00am - 4:00pm Ordinary work hours
- One rostered early shift (6.30am-2.30pm) and one rostered late shift (to approximately 5.00pm)

An exciting employment opportunity is available within our fast paced Gastroenterology Day Hospitals - located in Loganholme & Sunnybank. We are seeking 1 experienced full time Medical Receptionists to join our fast-paced dynamic team. The successful applicant will be required to work 76 hour/fortnight.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Day hospital reception - admitting and discharging of patients for day hospital procedure
- Accounts - all patients hospital and doctor invoicing
- Phone Bookings - all patient phone bookings (call centre for two of our facilities for bookings), preparing and sending procedure paperwork and other correspondence to patients, GP rooms and other parties
- General administrative duties within a day hospital including busy incoming phone calls, photocopying, checking patient hospital paperwork and other duties as directed by Management
- Liaising with other hospital, doctors rooms, allied health, and medical professionals on a daily basis

ESSENTIAL CRITERA:

- Medical reception experience in a previous role
- Demonstrate patient empathy, a willingness to listen, and put the patient’s needs first
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional time management skills
- Multi-tasking: the ability to prioritise tasks and complete a variety of duties during a set day
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced team
- Flexibility with working hours and a willingness to learn and adapt the role
- Knowledge of medical software Blue Chip & Medical Director, while not essential, is an advantage

You will be provided with in-depth training for approximately 6 weeks, and will transition between the two facilities.

**Salary**: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
