**Company Secretary**

We have a very rare opportunity for a Company Secretary to join us on a part time basis to play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective governance of LSV including the Board, its Committees and Councils. You will provide high-level secretariat support, manage key governance processes, and support the implementation of an organisational governance review. This role demands a blend of expertise in legal and governance matters, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. Your key responsibilities will include:
**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Serve as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with the LSV Constitution, Corporations Act, and ACNC requirements for the Board and select Committees.
- Provide expert secretariat support to the Board, Committees, Council, and their Chairs and support staff.
- Manage the Annual General Meeting, Annual Council Elections, and oversee the LSV Constitution, By-Laws, and other governing documents.
- Lead governance improvements and support the LSV Governance Review project.
- Advise on enterprise-level governance, risk management, and assurance frameworks.
- Offer training and resources on good governance principles for members and club committees.
- Coordinate legal support and liaise with in-house and external legal service providers.
- Maintain organisational governance registers and ensure compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in administrative support for board and committee meetings and work plans.
- Foster a values-centred culture of inclusion, respect, and high performance.

**What We’re Looking For**:
Strong relationship-building skills are essential, as you will need to cultivate productive working relationships, develop partnerships, and build trust with volunteer members and key industry stakeholders. You should demonstrate a capacity to analyse information and data to uncover strategic insights, solutions, and opportunities. Additionally, experience in project management is crucial, including the ability to coordinate, schedule, and monitor activities to achieve organisational objectives, attention for detail, and meet contractual requirements in a multi-tasking environment. Proven experience in senior-level reporting, including support for boards, committees, and other governance bodies, is also required.

Previous experience with sporting, emergency service, or volunteer-based organisations, along with an interest in water safety and lifesaving, is highly desirable
