We are Joolca, a Melbourne-based outdoor eCommerce brand with a big international market. Joolca centres on a single idea: what if people could enjoy indoor comforts outdoors - no matter where they are?
In the past few years alone, we’ve gone from being an Australian-only brand to now selling our top-rated gear in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, and the UK. Our customers number in the tens of thousands, and they’re so enthusiastic about our brand, they’ve even formed a Joolca community online.
We’re looking for one more person to join our growing crew. Could this be you?
**Responsibilities**:
This is a really exciting role because we're giving you the keys to drive and own the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process for a globally trusted brand. You will be working closely with the product, sales and marketing team to generate the monthly / rolling 12-month demand and supply plans for all our regions. There's already a very solid foundation in front of you - we have a great team, a great brand, great products and we're already selling in bunch of countries. The right person in this role has the ability to make a massive impact on the business and the brand - it'll no doubt be challenging, you'll learn a lot and of course, have lots of fun along the way.
You’ll also be responsible for placing purchase orders and coordinating all inbound and outbound
shipments. This makes you a key point of contact for our international suppliers, third-party
warehouses, freight forwarders and other external stakeholders. You’ll be in frequent
communication to keep everyone updated on timelines and promptly resolve any logístical
issues.
**What are the responsibilities of the role?**
Monthly S&OP Process
- Manage the monthly S&OP process and reporting/meetings
- Drive and improve the monthly demand / forecasting cycle
Demand / Supply Planning
- Work closely with different business units to develop accurate monthly demand forecasts
- Develop and create supply plans based on demand forecasts, inventory targets/policies and lead times
- Maintain the demand forecasts and relevant parameters in Netstock / IBP (demand forecasting software solution)
- Identify potential supply constraints or excess inventory risks and work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies
- Own and drive improvements across key inventory KPIs
Inventory Management
- Raising purchase orders with overseas suppliers to meet the Supply Plan
- Following up orders with suppliers and ensuring orders are processed and shipped on time
- Liaising with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure goods are shipped on time
- Liaising with third-party warehouses to ensure all inward goods are accurately
**Requirements**:
Skills Required
- 2-3+ years of experience in S&OP, with a proven track record in demand/supply
planning and understanding of forecasting methodologies and S&OP processes
- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, including advanced Excel
- Strong Presentation skills - ability to engage, present and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Knowledge of Odoo or similar ERP software would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Netstock or similar demand forecasting software would be an advantage
- Full working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
**Benefits**
This is an opportunity to grow your career with a fast-growing Aussie brand that’s making waves around the world, and doing it all from our humble (but hip) office in Coburg, Melbourne. Isn’t technology amazing?
- We’re offering a competitive salary in a relaxed working environment.
- We keep things pretty casual, but we believe in hitting our goals.
- You’ll have ownership of your little corner of the business goals with no BS bureaucracy to contend with.
- We work out of a really cool converted warehouse (yes, there’s a pool table), but you can also work from home up to 3 days per week.
