Our **Manly Hydraulics Laboratory** team within WINSW is currently seeking to appoint a **Project Officer **in the Water Information Team to assist with a range of hydrometric monitoring projects. In this role, you will work with senior staff members to facilitate the completion of larger projects, as well as assist clients with enquiries and contribute to promoting the services of the laboratory.

**About You**

As part of multidisciplinary project teams, you will have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with strong communication and technical writing skills. Experience in project management and water information content management systems is an advantage for this position. You will also have the capacity to demonstrate competency in working safely in and around water.

In this role, you will undertake and contribute to oceanic, coastal, estuarine, riverine, water, wastewater, water quality, stormwater and flood systems engineering projects and/or participate in larger engineering/environmental data monitoring/water infrastructure projects (such as dams, spillways and breakwaters) to achieve project objectives and deliver high quality and innovative client outcomes.

**Essential Requirements**
- Appropriate Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline at Degree level.
- A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stay.
- Ability to swim.

MHL manages Australia’s largest coastal monitoring network and has been solving coastal, port, and hydraulic engineering problems since 1944.
