About the Community Safety Building Authority
The Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA) within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) has been established to design, procure, build and upgrade the infrastructure needed to keep communities safe.
CSBA provides end-to-end project development, management and delivery of Victoria's new prisons, youth justice centres, court and custody facilities, emergency services facilities and public safety features such as pedestrian walkway bollards and CCTV networks. As well as delivering new infrastructure CSBA modernises, expands and upgrades existing facilities.
CSBA has a highly skilled workforce of experienced professionals from across the public and private sectors that support the development, procurement and delivery oversight of major capital projects. The CSBA team includes specialists in community safety infrastructure, project management, engineering, cost management, commercial management, planning and design.
Reporting to the Director, Project Management, the Project Management Adviser will assist to develop and implement a common project management methodology and fit-for-purpose governance, control and reporting standards to support the effective and efficient delivery of outcomes and provide direct project management governance and assurance services to CSBA.
The Project Management team works closely with the Business Performance and Reporting team to effectively integrate the project management framework into CSBA's Project Management, Analytics and Reporting System (MARS), and with other business areas within CSBA to ensure alignment of processes.

About the Role
This role requires strong stakeholder management, project management and technical writing skills. Practical experience in construction or ICT project management is highly desirable.

**You will also**:

- Assist in the development and delivery of appropriate guidance, templates and tools to support project teams to deliver each step of the project lifecycle, from conceptualisation to realisation, in accordance with applicable government legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
- Work in close collaboration with the Business Performance and Reporting team to ensure the project management framework is appropriately integrated into CSBA's Project Management Analytics and Reporting System (MARS) to support appropriate monitoring and reporting on business performance, and provide expert advice on supporting business processes and workflows.
- Assist in providing advice and guidance, templates and tools to project teams to support compliance with the government's High Value High Risk Guidelines and to assist in preparation for Gateway and Project Assurance Reviews.
- Assist in the development of tools and resources to support the development and delivery of a project management capability framework for CSBA to support capability development.
- Effectively respond to CSBA staff and stakeholder requests to resolve problems and to influence and inform continuous improvement in project management strategies, systems and performance.
- Leveraging internal and external expertise, review, assess and influence the development of new and amended government policies and procedures which impact the investment or project management lifecycle, providing expert, authoritative advice on operational impacts, and coordinate their effective integration into the project management framework.
