As Director-in-Training/Assistant Director at Explorers Surrey Hills
- Stanley Terrace, you'll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running a childcare Centre by working closely with the Centre Director.

**In this role, you will**:

- Support the day-to-day operations of the Centre
- Manage and build relationships with employees, families, and the wider community
- Maintain administrative functions
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Champion child safety and positive learning outcomes for every child under our care

In this role, you'll gain the experience and skills necessary to become a successful Centre Director in the future.

**Centre Highlights**:
Conveniently located off Canterbury road and walking distance from the Surrey Hills Train Station (and plenty of shops), you’ll find our beautiful early learning Centre. Our Centre is purpose-built with nine rooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, landscaped outdoor play areas, interactive learning spaces and a central piazza for collaboration with children from across the Centre.

**You will have**:

- Minimum Diploma level Early Childhood Education Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in early childhood, preferably long day care
- Minimum 1 year experience in a management role
- A sound understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education
- Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
- First Aid Training
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training
- Valid Working with Children Check (Employee) and Mandatory Reporting
- Australian working rights - Visa/Passport
