**About the Role**:
The Volunteer Support Officer works closely with the Community and Nature Partnerships team, volunteer groups and individuals and is responsible for facilitating, encouraging and promoting volunteer involvement across the seven NPWS Regions. The role will provide administration, technical, educational, training and networking opportunities and support for volunteers, and assist in promoting volunteer participation in community-based environmental projects aligned with the objectives of State and regional national park plans, and the broader natural resources management objectives of the Government, Department and region.

**Contract**:
Contract up to 11 August 2025

**Special Conditions**:

- Will be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence, and willingness to drive, is essential.
- Demonstrates ability to work alone and be self-reliant.
- May require some intra/interstate travel involving occasional overnight absences.
- Will be required to work out of normal hours of duty.

ASO4 $76,561 min - $80,256 max p.a.

Demonstrated experience:

- working with volunteer programs or initiatives,
- providing project and administrative support,
- working collaboratively in a team to achieve team outcomes,
