**The Opportunity**

Our Australian Steel Markets business has an exciting opportunity to join the team as the** Business Development Lead **based in either **Acacia Ridge QLD**, **Chullora NSW or Braeside VIC**.

We’ve got a great product in TRUECORE® steel and we think it has so many more possibilities to deliver innovative solutions for light gauge steel (LGS) framing to the commercial building sector - that’s where you come in

Leading a team of two, you will have the opportunity to be part of a fantastic growth opportunity for our organisation and the broader commercial building sector - this role is part of a significant strategy and a priority growth area where you will identify and realise opportunities to generate interest and adoption of innovative construction systems using TRUECORE® steel in the commercial construction sector.

**What Will You Do?**

Leading and providing strategic direction to your team, you will plan and execute sales activity which includes co-ordination across customers and channel partners. You will be a facilitator and connector who drives commercial outcomes for our business and our customers. This will see you:

- oversee and manage relationships with key asset owners and commercial builders across the commercial and mid-rise residential segments
- coach and develop your team
- research and target prospective customers and grow your network
- build and maintain relationships with industry participants
- facilitate relationships with, and supply from, related suppliers - strategically positioning products and overseeing strategic partnerships
- maintain knowledge and understanding of segment dynamics and communicate these effectively within the business

**More About You**

With your valuable understanding of the commercial construction /building sector, you are a skilled business developer who can identify opportunities and turn them into a reality. You will also bring:

- an ability to uncover and build relationships and networks throughout the industry
- exposure to working across different project lifecycle stages (e.g. development and delivery)
- the ability to identify and clearly articulate a value and supply chain proposition
- highly developed influencing and negotiation skills
- a collaborative mindset to bring others in the business along with you, particularly when it comes to project opportunities
- an inquisitive nature to explore our business and ‘connect the dots’ with your own knowledge
- a desire to bring new and different ideas - viewing our today and being curious about what we need for the future
