**The Opportunity**
Our Risk & Compliance division are currently looking to recruit a Conflicts Officer to join their Brisbane team on a permanent basis.
You will work as part of the global Conflicts & Ethics team who are responsible for analysing all new clients and matters to identify and resolve legal and commercial conflicts of interest.
As the Conflicts Officer some of your main responsibilities will be;
- Use your research skills to identify and verify clients, third parties and assets involved in new business requests
- Analyse information in the firm's conflict management systems and other databases to identify any potential conflicts of interest
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the rules of professional conduct applicable across the countries in which Ashurst lawyers practise
This is an entry level opportunity suitable to someone that has an interest in developing their skillset and knowledge in the Risk & Compliance space. Our dedicated Conflicts & Ethics team will be there to provide training, support and guidance on all aspects of this role.

- The discretion required to maintain confidential information appropriately
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and able to work well under pressure
