**The Opportunity**:
Our Risk & Compliance department is seeking a Conflicts Officer to join their team in Brisbane.
You will work as part of the global Conflicts & Ethics team who are responsible for analysing all new clients and matters to identify and resolve legal and commercial conflicts of interest.
As the Conflicts Officer some of your main responsibilities will be;
- Use your research skills to identify and verify clients, third parties and assets involved in new business requests
- Analyse information in the firm's conflict management systems and other databases to identify any potential conflicts of interest
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the rules of professional conduct applicable across the countries in which Ashurst lawyers practise

**Essential Skills & Experience**:
- Prior experience working in a law firm environment and a desire to understand Ashurst as a business, working closely as a team to solve problems
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and able to work well under pressure
- The discretion required to maintain confidential information appropriately

- Salary package will be competitive yet commensurate to experience and ability, and in the range of $70,000 - $80,000._
