We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic **Retail Manager** to lead our team to success. If you’re a motivated leader with a love for retail and a knack for driving results, we’d love to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage day-to-day store operations, including inventory, merchandising, and cash handling
- Drive sales targets and performance KPIs
- Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with company guidelines
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing the sale and care of industry pet
- Handle recruitment, training, and staff development
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Implement promotional strategies and marketing initiatives
- Conducting market research to understand customer preferences, trends and demands in the industry, identifying niche markets and accessing potential growth opportunities
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, purchasing patterns to optimize stock levels and manage stock takes
- Assess and identify potential risks and issues that could impact project success
- Evaluating supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products at competitive prices

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Proven experience in a retail management role (2+ years preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse sales reports and make strategic decisions
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours as needed

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Somerton VIC 3062: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 2 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
