Joining EPA's Permissioning and Development Branch is an exciting opportunity. Reporting to the Manager, Permissioning Improvements, the Program Manager is a senior member of a team responsible for implementing EPA’s Permissioning framework.

As part of your role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of various projects and improvements to enhance EPA's Permissioning functions. This will involve updating processes, procedures,, business systems, lead funded permissioning projects and support other units program of works.

**Duties**:
To be successful in this role you will be required to (not limited to):

- Lead and role model a team through organisation change with a dedication to fostering a positive work culture and the development of staff.
- Represent the EPA positively in engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the allocation of work whilst peer reviewing & providing technical expertise to less experienced team members, so the high standards of performance are met.
- Assist in the ongoing enhancement of EPA's Permissioning function by reviewing and updating Permissioning processes, policies, and procedures. Develop learning and development materials and provide analysis and reporting on performance to support continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement project management and change management plans, with clearly defined objectives, targets, and measures to assess change effectiveness in both a qualitative and quantitative manner.
- Complete administrative tasks and follow directives to achieve regulatory goals. Adhere to all applicable government and EPA policies and procedures, including financial management, occupational health and safety, and conduct standards.

**Skills and experience**:
Here are the types of experience, qualifications, and qualities we are looking for:

- A relevant tertiary degree/ equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience in at least one key area and at least one support area (Please refer to the position description).
- Previous senior experience in project management for regulatory/business improvement solutions in the government sector.
- Demonstrated capabilities in mentoring people through organisational change whilst maintaining a positive culture and high performance.
- Having the skill to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, especially when conflicts arise, is crucial.
- Proven ability to work as an effective member, dedicated to achieving the organisation's priorities.
