Contract opportunity for a Technical Support Officer working in a well-established organisation in Brisbane.

**Your new role**
As a Technical Support Officer, you will assist in the management of all road lighting assets in the Brisbane area. A large part of this will involve the maintenance of accurate and up to date records using internal asset management software. You will also act as the customer service end of the department. You will spend a lot of time engaging with members of the public, dealing with complaints and queries around street lighting. These will predominantly be around road lighting improvement or spill light concerns.
- To determine the appropriate action, you may be required to do some investigations, including site inspections and participation in community consultations, advising customers what actions will be taken.
- The nature of the role requires a lot of liaison with the public as well as other governmental departments who may have a shared interest and involvement in the process, including QPS and TMR.
- The role does also have a technical component, however as it is quite niche the client is flexible and just looking for someone with an interest in the area, a willingness to learn and the ability to pick up new concepts quickly.
- You will need to have strong IT skills in order to pick up the various systems easily (SAP & ArcGIS at technical level and Excel, MS word and Database systems for record keeping).

They are offering an initial contract of 6 months with potential for extension in line with ongoing needs and performance. They are also offering a supportive work environment. We would suggest an hourly rate of $37-38 plus Super.
