Nurse4U is looking for a Disability Support Worker for the Home care shifts **in Cheltenham.**

Nurse4U proudly offers a wide range of shifts in home care across the Melbourne region.

We are looking for dedicated and reliable staff members who are flexible in their thinking and courageous in their actions—people with compassion and empathy to work with the disabled and elderly community.

Casual shifts where you can have the flexibility to work as per your availability

Support details:

- Personal Care (I.e., continence aid).
- Daily household/domestic activities
- Community Access (I.e., Assisting with outings, appointments, etc.)
- Meal preparation

**Requirements**:

- Experienced working with people with complex needs, home care, and personal care.
- Must have completed either a certificate 3 in aged care/disability or certificate 4 in disability or similar qualification
- Previous in-home care support experience with ASD and ADHD Children.
- Drive your reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license (preferred, not mandatory)
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English

About you:
You'll bring to the role your passionate and caring nature, and you will have:

- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Disability Support/Individual Support
- Compassion for assisting people and a can-do attitude.
- Must be driving & have a current valid Australian driving license (If available) or be comfortable with public transport.
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Flu & Covid Vaccination Certificates
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Excellent clinical documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with your team and residents.
- The right to work in Australia.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brighton VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- ASD and ADHD behaviour: 1 year (required)
- Experience with children: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
