**About the Role**:
We are looking for a Support Coordinator to join our Coordinated Response Service (CRS) teams Based from the Armadale and Kensington Police Stations, the role provides crisis interventions to families experiencing high risk family and domestic violence. The Support Coordinator role is responsible for undertaking assessments, providing interventions (crisis interventions) in collaboration with police and child protection officers.
The Support Coordinator position is at the forefront of the organisation in providing client facing recovery support interventions. Supported by the Team Lead, you will play an important role in improving the health and social wellbeing, housing, and overall quality of life for clients, maximising functional recovery, self-management, independence, and participation in the community.
Your role requires advocating with and on behalf of the client to meet wider social, health and well-being needs. You will be responsible for undertaking tasks around case management, documentation, referrals, and appointments.
Applicants for this position must be available to work weekends and public holidays, penalty rates apply.
This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week.
**What we’re looking for**:
It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant qualifications in a related discipline at degree, diploma, or certificate level/less formal qualification with work or lived experience to perform sufficiently at this level/or demonstrated work experience at the level.
- Personal goal planning skills that contribute to the achievement of client goals in line with the Model of Care.
- Skills in reflective practice and highly developed report writing using analytical reasoning.
- Ability to support, mentor and work alongside supporting staff members.
- Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and client reporting system.
- Ability to engage and maintain professional relationships with clients, and their wider formal and informal supports, with multiple needs and challenges.
- Demonstrated understanding of complex issues facing people who experience chaotic life circumstances such as homelessness, AOD use, family/domestic violence and mental health issues.
- Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the guiding principles of the organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal culture.
**What do we offer?**:
- A salary aligned with Level 4 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $85,399 - $91,881 salary range per annum depending on experience.
