**About this role**
Do you find purpose in delivering engineering solutions and growing team capability? As the Associate, Rail Leader, you will use your key skills and experience to build and grown the rail business in WA as well as building capability in the team local to design quality engineering design.

**What will I do?**
- Develop and manage the delivery of co-ordination of designs with architectural packages and other engineering disciplines, including input to multi-disciplinary co-ordination exercises.
- Develop and manage the delivery of contract documentation, system schematics, layout plans and technical specifications for tendering and construction packages.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs through discussion, research and understanding.
- Lead the rail component on projects, ensuring work quality is maintained at the expected standard and effectively manage the time, scope, quality and performance of projects, including monitor budgets and control expenditure on projects, project plans and resourcing profiles and prepare project reports for clients summarising key issues and strategically advising on best outcomes.
- Provide input into the ongoing skill development within the rail team through such activities as focussing on continual improvement initiatives, and playing a key support role to senior staff members in all formal and informal training-related activities.

**What will I bring?**
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in a design or engineering discipline;
- Relevant rail industry experience in either design management; track design or OLE design;
- Chartered membership of relevant professional institutions/ professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
- Skills in client and stakeholder relationship management, project management and contract management;
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines - and Arup’s related procedures including OH&S
