**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This is an exciting time for us, as we are searching for an Event Manager who will be an integral part of our Events & Operations department. As an Event Manager you will assist in leading operational event delivery of international cricket matches in allocated states and territories (markets) each season with a primary focus on facilitating brilliant experiences for fans, supporting attendance growth and maximising event profitability at match.

Reporting to one of the Event Directors you’ll be responsible for:

- **Support and l**ead**elements**of**operational planning and delivery of Cricket Australia's fan-facing cricket content and event experiences, ensuring every moment is unforgettable**Drive the excitement** by supporting the planning and delivery of cricket events in various markets, with the goal of creating brilliant experiences, boosting attendance, and maximizing profitability**Forge strong alliances** with venues, event partners, and state and territory cricket associations to ensure seamless event execution.**Effectively plan,**manage** and reconcile event**budget**s**, while identifying opportunities to enhance the fan experience**Maintain and actively support event safety**, contribute to contingency planning, and escalation of issues.**Elevate hospitality standards** by supporting relevant Hospitality market leads to deliver top-notch hospitality experiences across the Executive and Official Hospitality program at match**Oversee**logistics** by assisting and overseeing the National Event Coordinator in managing market parking and catering deliverables.**Ensure excellence** by maintaining compliance with contractual obligations at matches.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

As the successful Event Manager, you will be a proactive problem solver with the ability to successfully lead and manage teams. You will also have:
- Diploma or degree in Sport or Event Management desirable.- Major event experience (preferably within sport) with a proven ability to deliver brilliant experiences for fans.- Minimum 4 years’ experience in major international event delivery.- Strategic mindset with an ability to continuously improve the event experience for our fans and our partners.- Proven experience in budget management.- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.- Understanding of the sports and entertainment industry and venues.- A drive to create and deliver best practice systems and experiences, with the ability to motivate others to do the same.- Ability to handle & analyse a significant amount of customer data.- Ability to sustain long and irregular hours and travel as required.
