**The Hospital**:
This is Australia's second oldest hospital opening in 1804, and is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides acute, sub acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds.

**The Role**:
They use a team approach to address the needs of patients and their carers, and work with health professionals across all health settings bringing knowledge, skills and expertise to enhance the care they provide. The palliative care teams include palliative care medical specialists, specialist nurses, specialist social workers, pastoral care and volunteers.

Our client is looking to expand the department by taking on a Palliative Care Consultant on a 1.0 FTE.

**The Requirements**:
You must hold the FRACP and or be eligible to obtain it via training from NZ, UK, Ireland, USA or Canada.
