Braemar College is an independent, co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College has two campuses, both of which are located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD. You will work in one of the most unique educational settings and teach committed and passionate students.

**Position**:
Braemar is seeking an enthusiastic teacher for our Woodend campus. The successful applicant should be passionate about Primary and/or Middle Years education. The position will teach in Year 5 or Year 6 for a term replacement. We continue to embed a culture of personalised learning with an integrated approach, to achieve high standards of learning for all students. Ideally able to start as soon as possible.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain high standards of learning and teaching, assessment and reporting.
- Use data to inform differentiated practice.
- Plan collaboratively with teaching teams.
- Contribute to Professional Learning Teams.
- Have excellent knowledge of contemporary approaches to literacy.
- Be able to teach across the Middle School.

**About You**:
It is expected that you will:

- Have an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.
- Display a data-driven approach to literacy education that leads to student growth.
- Show a willingness and the capacity to contribute to the wellbeing of students.
- Be open to the possibilities of teaching in flexible learning spaces.
- Display innovation in curriculum and collaborative learning approaches.
- Be a current VIT registered teacher.
- You must be fully vaccinated or have a relevant medical exemption to work at the College.

In addition, the preferred applicant will have an understanding of and commitment to, the ethos of Independent Schooling and a willingness to contribute to College events and adhere to the College's 'Child Safety Policy'.
