**The Role**
The AusTender Assurance role within the Directorate Commercial Information Solutions provides quality assurance of all Defence, Australian Signals Directorate and Australian Submarine Agency contracts prior to publication on AusTender.

This involves helpdesk support and working with customers to ensure information being publicly reported meets AusTender reporting guidelines as well as assisting with the education of Defence staff on reporting requirements and obligations.

The role has visibility of the full breadth and scale of procurement across the Defence organisation and will play a key role in preventing potential harm to Defence through quality assurance to prevent the release of sensitive or damaging information.

In addition to contract assurance, this role will work within the team to assist with procurement related statutory reporting, tendering support services and customer support services.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For further information, please contact the contact officer.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Commercial Information Solutions (DCIS) is a small team responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of innovative commercial information solutions that enhance Defence’s value for money outcomes and reduce reputational risk through provision of AusTender support and commercial reporting.

The DCIS is accountable for the delivery of various business improvement initiatives and projects which aim to ensure Defence is maximising the use of available technology to achieve more efficient, effective and economical procurement practices, specifically where AusTender is linked in the process.

You are enthusiastic, eager to learn and flexible. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders. You are willing to work as part of a small, dynamic team, have good time management skills and are able to exercise judgement to manage competing priorities.
