Six Degrees Executive have partnered with an Australian business in the superannuation/financial services sector.
Our client looking for a Technology Platforms Manager to join their team as a pivotal leadership role. Strong background in managing infrastructure teams and Cloud services a must.
**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Platforms Manager is accountable for the operational stability, scale, and performance of technology systems. Managing a small team, the role is required to establish and manage the required operational processes, tools, framework, and people capability to ensure a sustainable operating model that provides a positive employee and investor experience.
This includes owning the successful delivery of the infrastructure, workplace, and cloud strategy through an iterative program of work. This also includes partnering with key service providers to accelerate delivery and augment internal capability. In addition to participating in the development of Technology Platforms strategies in collaboration with the leadership team, a further priority will be to continually review the Technology Platforms strategy to attain a high-performance technology platform, which is user friendly, robust, reliable, and driven by mobility.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Drive consistent end-to-end delivery and operations of infrastructure platforms and ensure communicated performance improvements are executed.
- Manage infrastructure operations expenses within budget, ensure effective budget management and compliance, and provide automation skills to platform teams.
- Drive transformative business value through cloud adoption by educating the business and overseeing infrastructure platform development.
- Orchestrate infrastructure strategies for efficient and effective end-to-end delivery and operations, ensure incident management and provide high-quality documentation.
- Define and report product metrics, establish and operate processes and tools to track platform performance, and drive urgency in delivering availability and performance measures.
- Manage vendor contracts, oversee SaaS platform operation, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure infrastructure design and delivery include adequate security controls and collaborate with stakeholders on cybersecurity metrics.
- Drive upliftment and innovation of security platforms for optimum security functions and deliver on regulatory compliance.
**To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have**:
- Prior experience in a Platform Manager/Infrastructure Manager role
- Strong technical understanding of Microsoft platforms and Azure
- Extensive service management experience and knowledge of all aspects of information technology infrastructure domains and security.
- Have previously orchestrated cloud-based infrastructure platforms to enable autonomous work.
- Proven commercial acumen around budgeting, and management of third party outsource arrangements.
