**The Role**
The Technology and Services Division (TSD), Business Management Section, provides a range of corporate support and enabling functions for the division and the department. The Section is looking for a talented, high preforming finance and administration officer to join our fast-paced and dynamic team.
To perform successfully in this position, you will need to be a team player with very strong stakeholder management, engagement, and communication skills. A strong ability to translate and explain complex financial concepts clearly to support the division’s ICT leaders to manage capital and operating budgets is essential. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple competing tasks under limited direction to meet cut off and milestone dates is also essential for this role.
Competitive applicants for this position will have detailed knowledge or experience in financial management, and relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Assistant Director, IT Finance, the responsibilities of the IT Finance Officer may include:
- providing support to the TSD leadership team to manage budgets, and meet financial obligations and responsibilities
- assisting with the financial management of budgets/forecasting of TSD cost centres
- assisting with the financial management of TSD capital portfolio projects
- tracking and reporting on consultancy/contractor resource funding
- managing end of month processes and reporting (includes reviewing journal information, variance analysis and performance reporting)
- providing business areas support with ad-hoc financial and reporting requests
