We have an exciting opening for an ongoing Project Officer to support implementation of the NSW Hydrogen Strategy.

**Role**

**Who we are**

The Hydrogen Strategy team leads the implementation of the NSW Hydrogen Strategy
- a $3 billion nation leading policy framework to support development of the emerging green hydrogen industry.

The NSW Hydrogen Strategy includes a total of 60 actions spanning hydrogen hubs, skills development, investment attraction, market studies, infrastructure assessments, policy development, regulatory reform and more

We work with a wide range of stakeholders across industry, investors, researchers and government.

Our team sits in the Hydrogen and Clean Energy branch in Climate Change and Sustainability division. Our branch leads the delivery of the Government’s NSW Hydrogen Strategy, the National GreenPower Accreditation Program, initiatives for clean energy certification and consumer information, and more recently exploring options for renewable fuels.

Our team is supportive, collaborative and enthusiastic. Together we are developing policies and projects to support the establishment of a new and exciting industry in NSW. This brings lots of challenges and requires us to work together - drawing on our multidisciplinary talents and skills to generate ideas and solve problems. We are excited to grow a green hydrogen and broader renewable fuels industry that can drive deep decarbonisation of industries across NSW. We are proud to be contributing to a clean energy future.

**About the Department**

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) works to protect the state’s environment and heritage. It leads the way on climate change, driving the sustainable transition to a net zero economy, powered by affordable, reliable, and clean energy.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the state’s natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate, including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations. DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.

We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
