**The company**:
Our client is a global organisation operating in the supply chain and distribution sector. They are a listed business who is undergoing a significant period of growth organically but also through acquisition. Due to recent changes they are currently looking to appoint a talented Analyst - Internal Controls to be based in their Head Office in Melbourne’s south. This role has flexible working arrangements to work from home at times also and would best suit someone coming from a chartered or commercial role.

**The role**:
This is a key role and responsibilities will include:

- Work with the business and team to build a risk and control matrix
- Maintain updated policies and procedures in line with controls objectives and framework
- Audit preparation including supporting the process owners and making sure the pre audit checks on critical controls are completed
- Support the business to coordinate the annual risk assessments
- Have involvement in projects and other activities to simplify finance processes
- Ensure ongoing training and support for process owners particularly through the roll out of new policy and control requirements
- Interpretation and presentation of analysis and insights to a range of stakeholders including operations, customers and senior management

**About You**:
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

- Degree qualification and ideally working towards or qualified CPA/CA
- Experience in either audit, risk, compliance or governance in a chartered or commercial environment
- Experience ideally in risk and control frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence across a variety of stakeholders at the senior level
