Your New Role  

The Internal Audit team's function is to enhance and protect organisational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. This is achieved by providing an independent, objective assurance and advisory service designed to add value and improve operations through evaluating and improving effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. 

In this role you will be reporting to the Principal, Internal Audit. As a Senior Analyst, you are a key member of the expanding AustralianSuper global Internal Audit team and will play a key role in delivering core elements of the annual Global Internal Audit Plan. 

Key duties include but not limited to;  

  • Working with the Chief Audit Executive to establish a 'world class' global Internal Audit function 
  • Supporting the Principal, Internal Audit in their duties and reporting to the Chief Audit Executive 
  • Assisting the Global Internal Audit team perform a range of internal audit services targeted to the Fund's operations and risks 
  • Assist the team with performing internal audit work in line with the Global Internal Audit Methodology Standard including planning, scoping, fieldwork, reporting and stakeholder management 
  • Taking accountability for various Internal Audit management activities and uplift initiatives 
  • Promote Internal Audit and learn the business by attending various forums led by Line 1 and Line 2 risk colleagues to keep up to date with initiatives within their teams. 

What You'll Need  

  • At least 3 years of experience in internal/external audit, accounting, risk or related discipline 
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) qualifications or commitment to attain either designation required 
  • Financial Services or Superannuation experience essential 
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification highly regarded 
  • Ability to analyse data to determine the extent of adherence to policy, procedure and process 
  • Previous experience with a business governance, risk and control (GRC) system highly regarded  
  • Well developed written and verbal influencing skills  
  • Curiosity to acquire and develop business acumen 
  • Ability to work effectively and independently 
  • Ambition to drive your own continuous professional development.
