**About the role**

The Legal Research Officer makes a key contribution to the College's library of publications by researching, writing and updating College resources, including those specifically relevant to County Court judges engaged in sentencing. Primary duties include:
Analyse and summarise County Court sentencing decisions for inclusion in the Victorian Sentencing Manual

Undertake legal and non-legal research and analysis, particularly in areas of sentencing and criminal lawAttend to online publishing as required (training/support will be provided on the relevant publishing software)
- Review existing College content for formatting, layout, and functionality

**About You**

Australian tertiary qualification in law (completed or in progress) required.

You have knowledge and understanding of the Victorian justice system, in particular of court processes and the requirements of sentencing; with prior experience in legal research, legal practice or legal policy.
- You have well developed legal and non-legal research and analytical skills, complemented by excellent editing and plain language legal writing skills.
