DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

- Draft civil/structural projects using AutoCAD/Revit, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and codes.
- prepare sketches and plan designs for civil/structural engineering works.
- Keep internal project management systems and checklists up to date, maintain and update job records in the database, including job status and remaining work time required.
- Being capable of interpreting computations and making adjustments as needed.
- Analysing work assignments and independently selecting the appropriate Building Information modelling (BIM) tool or program to generate optimal design drawings that meet client specifications.
- Conducting inspections on civil/structural engineering projects, and possessing the capability to conduct site surveys and generate 3D drawings.
- estimating the sizes of structural elements to guarantee that the completed work aligns with specifications, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure browser libraries are kept updated and maintain organization in system drawing details.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- min 2 years of drafting commercial, industrial & residential projects experience using a cad package such as AUTOCAD & REVIT
- min 1 year of drafting steel detailing programs such as TEKLA
- an understanding of the VIC residential construction process, relevant design codes, and the ability to interpret architectural drawings
- good interpersonal and communication skills;
- demonstrated organisational skills;
- min. advanced diploma of engineering technology civil engineering design.
- min. 1 year of structural drafting of concrete footings (deep and shallow) and steel anchor footings (Surefoot footings) desirable.
- fluent in multiple languages is desirable (spanish or italian).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
