Description and Requirements

We have an exciting Coordinator opportunity leading our Outside School Hours Care service, Helping Hands Carina State School located in Carindale, Brisbane.

About the role

You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 36 hours per week including 6 non-contact administration hours.

You will work across split shifts to support the service’s operating ours of Monday - Friday, 6:45am - 09:00am (Rise then Shine Program) and 2:30pm - 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program). You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have: Enjoy working with kids Experience leading a team Strong and clear communication Team player with a desire to become a service leader Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it) and a state check for working with children Australian work rights Qualified or enrolled in a Diploma or Higher qualification in Education, Childcare, Humanities, Allied Health, Sport, Drama or similar
