**_The Opportunity:_**

A unique casual retail opportunity is available in Caboolture for an experienced retail person to join the team at Burnett Beekeeping Supplies to assist with the retailing of the extensive range of beekeeping products.

The position offers between 20 and 60 hours per fortnight depending upon the skills and availability of the successful applicant, plus the opportunity to grow with the business and for hours to be extended as customer demand requires.

Burnett Beekeeping Supplies is a truly Australian business that manufactures and sells Australian products to hobby level and commercial Beekeepers domestically and internationally.

The manufacturing operation is based in the Kingaroy area with retail and on-line business managed from the Caboolture location.

**_About the Duties:_**

The duties will be diverse and will include:

- Store opening and closing
- Receiving and organising stock
- Inventory control and rotation
- Preparing orders for dispatch
- Invoicing
- Cash and eftpos payment processing
- Preparation, assembly and painting of product prior to sale
- Maintaining store and workplace safety and presentation

**_The Successful Applicant:_**

Training will be available for industry and product knowledge, however the successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate:

- Retail experience
- Proven strong customer service skills
- An excellent phone manner
- Sound keyboard and computer skills
- An excellent work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised
- A strong commitment to a team-oriented workplace
- Flexibility in the delivery of hours to meet changing customer demand
- A current driver licence

Although not essential requirements, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following:

- A rural background
- Qualifications, experience or knowledge relevant to the Beekeeping Industry

**_The Hours:_**

The retail opening hours are from 8.30 to 4.00 Monday to Friday and 8.30 to 12.00 on Saturdays.

The 20 to 60 hours per fortnight will be available during those hours and will also include some Saturday mornings from 8.30 to 12.00.

**_The Pay:_**

The hourly casual pay rate will be in accordance with the Retail Award and include penalty rates for Saturday mornings.
