Global Specialty Chemical Manufacturer - Role National - Multiple Sites - Permanent Part Time - $120,000 p.a. package annualized Registered Nurse HSE Professional to report to the APAC HSE Manager. In conjunction with Operations Teams on manufacturing sites in Australia, you will help ensure the well-being of employees. This company is a global market leader in their industry. They run large manufacturing plants across Australasia, Europe and North America, providing the synergies and opportunities to learn from each other to develop and drive Operational and HSE excellence. You will play a key role in ensuring the well-being of all employees on sites across Australia. Your key areas of responsibility include; General Health Promotion Develop programs to promote healthy lifestyles at work and home Occupational Health Promotion Develop programs to promote safe work practices. Give advice around Occupational Health for new installations and introduction of new products. Training around OH risks and prevention Supporting the PPE program IH monitoring and follow-up on exposure monitoring Injury Management Developing injury management plans for each site Providing effective case management for injured employees to facilitate early return to work Identify local rehabilitation providers for each Site Identify Return to Work Coordinators for each Site and train them in their functions Train employees in injury management requirements Liaise with Medical professionals as required Health Assessments Develop criteria for pre-employment and annual health assessments. Establish contact with medical services for all sites and co-ordinate services as required. Maintain medical registers as required by legislation, e.g. Asbestos, Hepatitis, etc. Establish an Employee Health database to facilitate annual health monitoring Follow-up matters identified in the health assessments Identify any trends from the assessments and make recommendations as appropriate You are a Registered Nurse with some experience in an industrial setting. Your referees can attest to your ability to make things happen, enthusiastically "rolling up the sleeves" when required, and your capability to work autonomously and within teams.
