Your New Role
As the Senior Occupational Therapist at Coorparoo CCU, you'll provide advanced clinical services within a dynamic and collaborative interprofessional team supporting consumers in their mental health recovery. This is a key position focused on delivering best-practice care, fostering innovation in service delivery, and supporting the professional growth of others.

In This Role, You Will

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a mental health rehabilitation setting.
  • Exercise advanced clinical reasoning and independent decision-making for complex cases.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical practices, protocols, and quality initiatives.
  • Provide supervision, education, and mentoring to less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants.
  • Lead or contribute to research, service improvement, and innovation projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of care.

You are a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist who brings compassion, initiative, and a commitment to person-centred care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are ready to contribute your leadership, clinical expertise, and innovative ideas to improve service outcomes.

You Will Demonstrate

  • Proven expertise in delivering occupational therapy services in mental health or rehabilitation settings.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, prioritisation, and time management skills in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with consumers, carers, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • A passion for mentoring, supervision, and fostering the development of students and emerging clinicians.
  • Experience leading or contributing to service improvement, evaluation, or research initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements as per Health Employment Directive No. 01/16.
