Your New Role:
To effectively perform maintenance activities to ensure plant and equipment reliability for core business activities, participate in plant shutdowns and site project installations as required and directed. The work culture of doing what’s needed when needed, not only when required.

To meet the responsibilities of your role, you will need to be able to:

- Address and resolve issues associated with planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in the food production plant
- Pursue the continuous improvement of the plant equipment and systems
- Work closely with management in relation to maintenance and equipment issues
- Have a clear understanding and focus on quality and safety
- Small work crew with mixed backgrounds and cultures in the workshop

Shift times 6 am to 2:30 pm Day & 4 pm to 12:30 am Afternoon
- Prefer flexible to do either shift ( need at least 1 person for the Afternoon 2 for Day)
- Able to work independently when required on the back shift

Your Profile:
Must be trade qualified as C8 Mechanical Tradesman

You will also need:

- Extensive experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter in a production environment or similar;
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of food quality and safety procedures;
- MIG, TIG and stainless steel welding skills;
- Sound knowledge of basic electrical components and possess a disconnect/connect license;
- Good fault-finding skills and a sound knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics;
- General machining and fabrication skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - to a level of understanding of technical instructions and completing required forms and process sheets;
- Committed to Workplace Health and Safety;
- Excellent work ethic.
