**ABOUT THE ROLE**

You will be responsible for:

- Providing assistance relating to procurement activities, including:

- Undertaking and providing guidance on simple procurement activities;
- Providing assistance to the Procurement team as directed on various tendering activities;
- Organising variations to contracts through Deeds of variation;
- Undertaking approaches to market through various panels to seek resumes and other details for Labour-Hire processes; and
- Assisting with contract award processes including contract execution, letters to unsuccessful tenderers and raising of purchase order requisitions.
- Assisting Divisions with high-level management of their contracts (expenditure against purchase orders, expiry dates etc) including contract extensions and/or variations as required
- Undertaking a range of administrative tasks in support of the procurement team, including but not limited to:

- Maintenance and updating of AMSA contracts register and Procure-to Pay;
- Maintenance and updating of the procurement sections electronic filing;
- Raising and amending Contract schedules (Purchase Orders);
- Updates and additions to AusTender as appropriate;
- Producing and manipulating reports from the FMIS system; and
- Collating data for procurement reporting and planning purposes.
- Contribute to and support a process of continuous improvement within the Governance Section.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**

To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Some experience in procurement, tendering and contracting.
- Demonstrated experience in Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) (AMSA utilises the TechnologyOne suite)
- Some understanding of the principles of Government procurement policy and processes (particularly the Commonwealth Procurement Rules), including contracts administration and project management.
- Proven background within an administrative support function
- Experience raising contracts and associated documentation, including various approaches to market and ongoing contract management requirements;
- Ability to work independently, act decisively, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
