Library Services Centre
The Library Services Centre provides innovative, high quality, customer-focused library services including digital and information literacies and use of learning technologies, research skills, information resources, scholarly and cultural collections, and learning facilities that contribute to and enhance the University’s learning, teaching, and research goals. The Library delivers a wide range of online resources and services to all campus and study locations and to clients both on and off-campus.
The Library is also responsible for the overall management and control of the University’s record keeping program including the governance and management of business information and the provision of advisory services to Schools and Business Centres on record keeping best practices.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to play your part in the launch of this unprecedented project, as we look towards our opening to students in 2026.
As Project Coordinator, you will support the transition of the Library Services Centre into the City Campus by developing and delivering the Library Services Transition Project. You will coordinate the review, rationalisation and relocation of the Library’s collections and the University’s business records to ensure an effective and efficient transition into the City Campus.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
Management of the Library Services Centre Transition Project from inception to completion, including all aspects of the project lifecycle.
Building and maintaining strong relationships and strategic partnerships across teams, directorates, and schools, including effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
Developing, leading, and delivering on all aspects of the program and project.
Lead the planning and delivery of all aspects of the Library Services Transition project to facilitate an effective transition of Library Collections and University Business Records across multiple campuses, ensuring mínimal disruption to Library services.
Providing coordinated oversight and management to facilitate the review and rationalisation, of Library collections and the management University Records impacted by the transition.
Monitoring, controlling and reporting on project progress to key stakeholders including proactive risk management and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with Project team members, partners, and stakeholders, acting as the touchpoint between key stakeholders to support project initiation and delivery.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to plan new operational models.
Lead the planning and modelling of space requirements to prepare the physical moves of library collections physical business records between campuses.
Working closely with Library stakeholders and ECU City project team to develop detailed relocation plans including timelines, logistics, sequencing and resources for each move.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline OR equivalent level of expertise gained from experience, training, or professional accreditation.
Experience in project coordination including effective planning and organising skills, with the ability to manage time and resources efficiently.
A general understanding of how library collections and university records are managed.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to work with a range of stakeholders and present and report on project milestones.
Ability to use a range of technologies and software to plan and manage projects.
Ability to coordinate a small team to achieve project outcomes.
